In the ancient Kryvian land
Among forests and swamps
There lived terrible evil trolls
Who ate the local folk.
In their fear, the folk hid inside their homes
Once the moon appeared in the sky.
And a traveler who lost his way in the night
Was never to return home.

Years passed and the folk became ever fewer.
Everyone around lived in terror.
But there was no way to kill the damned trolls
May god of thunder Perun take them!
Oh courageous knights, powerful heroes,

Where have you been?
If you only knew how many long years
The people have lived in desperation
