Valkenrag - 8. Redemption Time


War extends way too long 
So many our brothers 
Died in senseless battle 
Gave their lives 
Without reason bereaved their children 
Left their wives 
It must end no matter 
What's the cost 

Man was sent the disgraced one 
Infiltration was his duty 
The attack had to come up 
Next day when the scout is done 
They shall ride to smash them all 
The man took his way 
To redeem his delicts 

He was chosen for his faults 
Now the way is upon him 
In messenger’s disguise 
He passed enemy lines 
Undetected by anyone 
He reached the high command 
Now his mission has started 
It’s time to look around 

As he has noticed there is no reason 
To continue hopeless quest 
It’s the time one way exists 
To unmask himself to end the war right here 

So he went in the hostile camp 
As one of the messengers 
By the cover of taking truce 
And lead the war to it’s end 

Moon was bright as he took his blade 
Blood boiled in his veins 
Like Oden himself came into him 

Redemption time just come and his sword twisted and cut 
There was no place where a body did not lay 

The sun woke up, companions had come 
And saw one-eyed man who stood alone 
And in his heart was no fear he was the brave 
Suddenly he fall on his knees he took the last one breath 
He gave his life for their case and so he cleared his name 

They watched his death and couldn’t believe 
That one man could do such a thing 
First accused and then redeemed rightfully called Einherjer.
