You see? Now I depart.
Nothing will grieve my heart.
You see? At last! I’ll have a rest
In a peaceful place, a small warm nest.
 

The black rider arrives.
 

You see? I’m going down that track, 
I’ll leave, and never come back.
You see? At last! I quit.
My soul will finally feel whist.
 

The black rider smiles.

Reality is falling apart,
The world is fading away,
The knife cuts into my wrist,
And it’s done. I don’t want to stay. She will have to pay
 

You see? I’m not terrified
By flowing blood, or painful sigh.
I’m calm now. I slowly descend
On the murky path, until the end.

The black rider takes her hand.
 

But what’s this ? I feel no ease.
What’s this terror? Why doesn’t it cease?
I don’t want to feel pain, no, I don’t.
Someone help me! Help! I’m lost!
 

The black rider laughs.
