A Bowling For Soup 1994-ben alakult a texasi Wichita Falls-ban. A pop-punk és a power pop határmesgyéjén lavírozó együttest egy multi kiadó,a Jive Records karolta fel. Akárcsak a Sum 41,õk is elõszeretettel teszik gúny tárgyává a '80-as évek "hair metal" korszakát ("1985"), ugyanakkor a pop punk populárissá válását is kiparodizálják ("Punk rock 101"). A banda védjegyének tekinthetõ a punkosan flegma énekes,Jaret,illetve a gitáros "óriáscsecsemõ" Chris a maga eszméletlen méreteivel. Jó a munkamoráljuk,szeretnek számokkal jól megpakolt, hosszú albumokat készíteni.
