1986-ban alakították Stockholmban. Per Yngve "Dead" Ohlin a zenekar alapítója. John "John Lennart" Hagström és TG gitárokon, Jens Näsström basszusgitáron és Lars-Göran Petrov a doboknál. Amikor TG elhagyta a zenekart, Ulf Cederlund helyettesítette. A zenekar ekkor felvette a bemutatkozó demójukat, a December Moon-t a Thunderload Studiosnál Stockholmban '87 decemberében. Hagström és Dead átigazolt a legandás norvég MayheM zenekarba. John Scarisbrick került az énekes posztra. 1988 szeptemberében rögzítették második demójukat, The Last Supper-t. A felvétel nem volt túl sikeres, Petrov és Cederlund átigazolt a Nihilist zenekarba, ami később az Entombed zenekar.
