1998-ban alakult finn zenekar. Eredeti nevük Hellkult volt, melyet harmadik demofelvételük után változtattak Wyrd-re. Nem csak a nevük, de a zenei stílusuk is megváltozott a 2000-es "Unchained Heathen Wrath" címû demojuk után; a korábbi kissé thrashes zene helyett valamivel lassabb finn dallamokkal színesített pogány blackmetalt kezdtek játszani. Viszont szövegeik mindmáig az õsi hagyományokról, mitológiákról szólnak.
