A zenekart 1989-ben alapította Dagon, a kezdeti thrash metaltól távolodva zenéjük ma lassú, komor black metalként jellemezhetõ, oldschool thrash hatásokkal és váratlan tempóváltásokkal a lassú részek és az ultragyors blastbeatek és riffek közt. Igazán egyedivé Dagon sajátos, monoton kántálásnak ható éneke teszi zenéjüket, no meg a mára meghatározó taggá vált dobos, Incubus technikája.
