The group called "Kreyson" was founded in 1989. Their album "Andel na uteku" (Angel on the Run) was released in 1990. It was recorded in Hannover, where both Czech and English version emerged. The frontmen of the group were Ladislav Krizek and Jaroslav Barton who participated in music creation to a great extent. For the album „Andel na uteku“ the group was awarded a Gold Disc. The next Gold Disc was awarded to them for an album called „Krizaci“ (Crusaders). In 1994 Lada Krizek, as the best selling rock music interpret after November 1989, is awarded a Diamond Disc for 400 000 pieces of sold CDs.Kreyson met with a great success also in Germany and Japan in the 1990s. The group went for a concert tour there. Lada Krizek was invited by Running Wild to record two CDs, and he cooperated also with R. Blackmoor, Jr. Ladislav Krizek– an awardee of 1 Diamond and 6 Gold Discs, founder of a group called KREYSON, representative of the first white metal group from the Heart of Europe. THE KREYSON STORYIn 1991 we had a chance to see a few articles, which appeared in German newspapers. Here are some of them:ROCK HARD: “The east block begins to open out to the world not only in the political sense but also some music bands try their luck in the west. One of them is Kreyson from Czechoslovakia. What they need is probably more energy but anyway, they are worth-hearing.”METAL STAR: “Kreyson has released a golden record called “Angel on the Run” back home. Now they are trying to get to the western market in the same way. I guess by means of their white metal they can really break through. They have their style.”BREAK OUT: “Kreyson comes from Czechoslovakia and presents their debut both in the west and in Czechoslovakia. The band plays first class metal comparable to Running Wild. This is not a surprise because the singer of Running Wild was a co-producer of Kreyson’s new album. Since December 1990 “Angel on the Run” is number 1 on the radio and TV top ten.”Let’s go back to the events that happened one year ago. Soon after recording the band went for a tour. They played in Germany together with Udo Dirkschneider (Accept), his band U.D.O., and Supersition where Jurgen R. Blackmore, yes, the son of Ritchie Blackmore, plays the guitar. After having toured for a few months the band came to Prague where they received a golden record at their concert. There were 14 000 spectators there. At the beginning of 1992 Kreyson gets in touch with Doug Van Pelt, the editor of the American magazine HEAVEN’S METAL. Now you have a chance to read his opinion: “Hailing from Czechoslovakia, Kreyson is a professional band, which could hold on its own in the Hollywood circuit or anywhere else. The only thing holding them back on this tape is that it’s sung in Czech. Apparently, later the band went to a nice studio in Germany to record this album in English. The songs here are heavy, melodic, and have good hooks and direction. The chops shown by the band are impressive, and so are vocals of Ian Kreyson. We can hear his golden throat in a tune called Upí--í láska (Vampire’s Love), which starts off like a beautiful ballad and kicks in a bit, evolving into an emotion-plodding tune. Let me just say that this is a great album. I’m thrilled to have this tape, and I can’t wait to introduce it to my friends and watch their faces when the Czech vocals come screaming through the speakers. You’re going to hear more about Kreyson.”
