Mushroomhead egy 1992-ben alakult nu metal, rapcore banda híres a fellépési kosztümök miatt mely hasonlít a Slipknot-ra... hozzá kell fûznöm sajnos hogy sokan azt mondják hogy a Slipknot lekoppintotta a jelmezes ötletet. Többet erröl nem vitázok mindenki az gondol amit akar én mindkettõ zenekart nagyon birom. Visszatérve az együttesre 2001-ig majdnem csak az USA-ban volt híres a zenekar. 2001-ben csatlakoztak az Universal record-hoz és kiadták az elsõ Major Label albumukat XX. 2003-ban kiadták a második Major Label albumukat XIII melyen Bronson (régebbi sampler) átvette J. J. Righteous helyét a gitárnál. A Sampleren átvette Bronson helyét St1tch az együttes egyik rajongója. 2004 végén J-mann (frontember, énekes) elhagyta a bandát és helyettesítve lett Waylon-al. Mivel J-mann elhagyta az együttest az Universal records is elbucsúzott az együttestõl és ujra saját magukra voltak bízva. 2005 nyarán az együttes csinált egy Home videót Volume 1 melyet 2005 augusztus-ban adtak ki a saját Labelüknél 'Filthy Hands'. A DVD már évekkel ezelött volt kihirdeve mikor J-mann még frontember volt. 2006 szeptemberén kiadták az uj albumot Savior Sorrow. 2006 Juliusán Borson elhagyta az együttest.
