A Mystic Circle Németországban alakult, Ludwigshafenben, 1992-ben. Akkoriban még Death Metalt játszottak, felvettek egy soha ki nem adot Demót még a megalakulás évében, egy évre rá feloszlottak, majd 1994-ben új felállással újjáalakultak.A hivatalos meghatározás szerint Melodikus Black Metalt játszanak, de a banda saját meghatározása a " Sötét, Sátáni Metál " .
Sokat turnéztak a Mardukkal, a Deicide-dal és a Gorgoroth-tal.
A Korai idõkben a banda koncerteken, valamint fotókon szinte a végletekig elvitte a Teátralitást, de a The Great Beast albumtól kezdve jelentősen visszavettek belõle .
Jelenleg nem tudni, hogy Ezpharess Gitáros/Billentyûs mit fog kezdeni a bandával egyedül, remélhetõleg folytatni fogja új tagokkal.

	Az egyik örök kedvenc! Én anno úgy akadtam rá neten,hogy véletlenül kerestem youtube-on a Moevot egyik számát amit havernak akartam mutatni,de aztán teljesen lezsibbadtam a Black Legions-on. A dallamos gitár témák és az erőteljes vokalista tudás mindent vitt. Ja és említést érdemel a Bathory feldolgozás a One Rode To The Asa Bay feldolgozás is amire először életemben tudom azt mondani,hogy "Talán jobb mint az eredeti.". Pedig ez nem jellemző,mert az eredetinél általában semmi sem lehet jobb.
