Axenstar (régebben Powerage néven futottak) Västerås, Svédországból származnak, 1998-ban alakította Peter Johansson és Magnus Ek. A zenekar tagjait tekintve nagy változásokon ment keresztül. Lehetséges hogy a 2006-ban megjelent "The Final Requiem" lesz az utolsó albumuk.
