Rob Halford (teljes nevén Robert John Arthur Halford) (Walsall, 1951. augusztus 25. –) angol énekes és dalszerzõ, aki a Judas Priest nevû brit heavy metal együttes frontembereként vált népszerûvé az 1970-es/1980-as években. Halford a mûfaj egyik legelismertebb énekese egyedi énekstílusa, magas hangú sikolyai okán. A heavy metalra gyakorolt hatása miatt a stílus rajongói Metal Godnak (Metal Istennek) nevezik a Judas Priest azonos címû dala nyomán. Rob Halford színpadi megjelenése – fémszegecsekkel kivert fekete bõrruhák – a heavy metal zenekarok és rajongók öltözködési stílusát is megváltoztatta.A '80-as évek második felének kísérletezõ nagylemezei után a Judas Priest az 1990-es Painkiller albummal tudott megújulni, de a világkörüli lemezbemutató turnét követõen Rob Halford bejelentette távozását az együttesbõl, hogy újonnan alapított Fight nevû zenekarával valósítsa meg zenei elképzeléseit. A Fight zenei világa a Judas Priest féle klasszikus heavy metal és a Pantera fémjelezte groove metal keveréke volt. Az együttesnek két stúdióalbuma jelent meg: War of Words (1993), A Small Deadly Place (1995).1999-ben Rob Halford a saját magáról elnevezett Halford együttes élén tért vissza a heavy metalhoz Roy Z producer segítségével. A 2000-ben megjelent Resurrection című album helyreállította az énekes utóbbi években megtépázott hírnevét. A csapat második albuma, a Crucible 2002-ben jelent meg, majd egy évvel később Rob Halford bejelentette, hogy visszatér a Judas Priestbe.Halford 2003-as visszatérése óta a Judas Priest két stúdióalbumot adott ki és folyamatosan koncerteznek. Emellett Rob beindította saját produkciós irodáját, amely főként szólóanyagainak digitális formában történő kiadásával foglalkozik. 2009 májusában létrehozta a Metal God Records nevű lemezkiadóját, melynek első kiadványa a Halford Crucible World Tour - Live In Anaheim DVD és Blu-Ray videó.
