Crüxshadows, a világ egyik legismertebb darkwave zenekara.A zenekart 1992-ben alakította a frontember - Rouge - egy észak-floridai kisvárosban. Aztán ahogy az lenni szokott, a zenekar lassan kezdett kikapaszkodni az ismeretlenség verméből. Az évek alatt több kiadót is megjártak (Neask International(Kado Records-->Mere Mortal Records-->Dancing Ferret Discs), a zenekari tagság folyamatos fluktuációja folymatos volt, ám a Crüx ismeretsége és népszerűsége az USA-ban mégis folyamatosan nőtt, Európában pedig Zillo Fesztiválon való fellépés után kerültek rivaldafénybe.2001-ben már ünnepelt csapatként turnézták végig először az Egyesült Államokat, majd Európát.
