Az együttes 1996-ban alakult meg Észak-Karolinában. Az együttes alapítója a jól ismert Wednesday 13 aki az elõbbiekben játszott a Maniac Spider Trash-ben is, ahonnan tovább hozott magával két tagot is. A késõbbiekben Wednesday 13 elhagyta az együttest hogy csatlakozzon a Murderdolls-hoz mint énekes. A Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 konkrét stílusa a Glam/Horror Punk. Az együttes sok híres együttestõl tanult , már ha csak látásból is, ezek például: Alice Cooper, New York Dolls, és a KISS. Ezen belül gondolhatunk a kinézetrõl és a festésekrõl. A Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 feloszlott 2001-ben, majd késõbb csináltak egy utolsó albumat 2006-ban ami nem más, mint a 6 Years 6 Feet Under The Influence.
