A Hirax 1982-ban alakult, kaliforniai thrash metál banda. 1989-ben a csapat feloszlott és egészen 2000-ig nem is lehetett hallani róluk. 2000-ben azonban újra összeálltak és azóta újra aktív a zenekar.
